Cell Phone Use While Driving


Message 1 is a fear message which contains a video that implies what can happen if you are a distracted driver.

Message 2 is a peripheal route processing video which provides a list of scenarios to either switch cell phone off, crash, write car off, injure a pedestrian, kill best friend or kill girlfriend.


Message 3 is a central route processing video that shows some results of talking/texting on a cell phone while driving.

Message 4 is a two way message that contain three videos. Video 1 is a clip of a child advising that her bestfriend's sister was killed in a cell phone texting related car accident. Video 2 is a clip of a teen indicating that texting does not affect her driving. Video 3 is a clip that indicates how many deadly cell phone related accidents are reported each year.


Fear Message

This message indicates that distractions while driving no only puts your life in danger but the lives of others on the road as well. Hang up and drive.



Peripheal Route Processing Video

This message gives you a choice before driving. Which one will you choose?




Central Route Processing video

This message indicates all of the lives destroyed in a matter of seconds due to cell phone related car accidents.


Two Way Message

Video 1 is a message from someone who suffered from a tragic loss due to texting and driving and warning others not to text and drive.



Video 2 is a message from someone advising that she texts and drives all the time and she has not suffered from any serious cell phone related accidents.



Video 3 is a statistic message advising that 2600 people die in the United States every year due to cell phone related car accidents.
